Grants Pass School District has had a long history of partnership with the Club as many of our students enroll and attend after school and during the summer. We appreciate the Club’s attention to educational programming and their diligence in supporting students being successful in school.
Over the past year, in the face of a pandemic, the Boys and Girls Club of the Rogue Valley has stepped up to the plate in amazing ways. They have worked hard to continue serving
the youth of our community with programming and free meals. The Club staff and leadership have attended to the health and safety of the youth they serve. Our students, at all three of the Club sites, have been on comprehensive distance learning for much of the school year. The Club has collaborated with each school district (mine included) to ensure education continued and that students were supported to learn and thrive. When the community of Phoenix-Talent experienced great loss in the wildfires, our Club rose to the challenge of providing. In partnership with the community of Phoenix-Talent, we have reopened the Club and brought back the programming and social-emotional attention our youth need.
What we appreciate most about the Boys and Girls Club of the Rogue Valley is their ability to build relationships with kids. So many of our youth are at risk of failure and dropping out. Our kids need competent, caring professionals to help them in life and the Club provides this and so much more. In this past year, there has never been more of a need to attend to the health and wellness of our kids….and our Club does just that!!
