We are thrilled to be a recipient of Pacific Power’s Blue Sky Program’s 2020 (GP) and 2023 (IV) funding awards! Because this new renewable project allows us to generate our own electricity, we’ll save on energy costs — meaning we can dedicate more of our budget to our core mission of serving the youth and families in our community!

With these panels, our carbon footprint will be reduced, eliminating 2,102 tons of carbon dioxide (CO2) – equivalent to planting 48,977 trees – over the lifetime of the system!

The Grants Pass panels started generating power in July 2020 and the Illinois Valley panels started generating power in December 2023!

In Grants Pass, “We’ll be saving approximately 64% on our electric bill. The funds coming back to the Club will be put into programs, like STEAM and Career and Tech Education as Club Members learn about renewable energy, environmental stewardship, and all the career pathways associated with this project,” shares Greg Roe, Executive Director.

This project was made possible with funding support from Pacific Power’s Blue Sky program participants and the Energy Trust of Oregon. Thanks also to the incredible team at True South Solar for installing the panels. Our IV panels were also made possible by the Roundhouse Foundation
