Programs in this core area develop young people’s capacity to engage in positive behaviors that nurture their own well-being, set personal goals and live successfully as self-sufficient adults.


Better Breakfast for Kids

In keeping with the Healthy Lifestyles Program (one of the Boys & Girls Clubs five core areas), donations from our wonderful community have been given to provide club members with three healthy home cooked breakfasts per week at the Grants Pass Club. SMART Moves – Skills Mastery & Resistance Training

This program is an age appropriate education about drugs and alcohol, risky behavior and consequences and gives our Members resistance skills and techniques to used when they are put in uncomfortable situations. Click here to learn more about our SMART Moves Program.


Healthy Habits

This program is designed to incorporate healthy living and active learning in every part of the Club experience. Healthy Habits emphasizes good nutrition, regular physical activity and improving overall well-being.


The Rose Circle

The Rose Circle is a Mentoring Program for the young girls at our Talent Club, who gather once a week to discuss important issues and give each other support. Click here to learn more about The Rose Circle of Southern Oregon.


Positive Sprouts

The Positive Sprouts Program is designed to improve children’s habits of health and nutrition through the process of growing food for themselves. This program focuses on improving healthy habits for Club Members by teaching them how to cultivate and cook from the Club garden.
